Rachel Arrives Home From School and Walks in To The Kitchen to Find Her Mother Sitting There.

"Hi, How Was School?" she asked.

"It Was Fine For a Thursday" Rachel replied.

"Good.. I have a question" her mother said.

"Did i goof on something you asked me to do?" Rachel replied.

"No, No..Mrs Cooper Phoned Me a Little While Ago and Asked If You Might be Available to Help Them On Saturday? They Have To Go Out of Town For Most Of The Day And Need Someone To Look After Their Boys? I Know They Would Appreciate The Help" Her Mother Said.

"As Far As I Know..I Have No Activities For Saturday" Replied.

"They Need For You To Be There By 9am So They Could Leave By 9:30" Her Mom Replied.

"Okay, That Should Work" Rachel Replied.

"I Will Phone Carol And Notify Her You Will Be Able To Do it. I Will Mention To Her You Might Be A Little Early" Her Mother Said.

"I Have Not Seen Her Boys For Awhile and Hope They Do Not Play Any Jokes On Me When I Seen Them Previously" Rachel Replied.

"Carol Assured Me They Would Talk to Their Boys Prior To Your Arrival" Her Mother Said.

"I Hope She Does, I Will Not Do Any Jobs For Them If The Boys Are Not Nice To Me" Rachel Said.

 

Rachel Goes To School Friday And Questions Her Decision To Look After The Cooper Boys.. And Hope She Made The Right Decision.

Rachel Goes To Bed Kind Of Late On Friday And Sets Her Alarrm To Sound At 8am 2 Hours Later Than She Normally Wakes Up.

She Eats a Quick BreakFast Of Eggs And A Strip Of Bacon. She Then Goes to Her Room And Picks Out Jeans a T-Shirt And Her Knee High Black Boots with a Small Heel And Goes To The Garage And Turns The Key To Her Car and Reverses The Car From The Garage And Lets Her Car Warm For Awhile.

Rachel Leaves The House At 8:35 For The Trip To The Coopers House Which Is On The Other Side Of Town.

She Arrives At The Coopers House And See's One Of The Two Car's Which The Coopers Use Running.

Rachel Steps Out Of Her Car And Goes To The Front Door and Mrs. Cooper Opens The Door.

"Hi Rachel, Pleasure To See You" Mrs. Cooper Extending Her Hand.

"Good To See You Too, Carol..Are The Boys Ready?" Rachel Inquired.

"I Think They Are Finishing..I Told The Boys They Are To Be Nice To You Or You Will Punish Them" Carol Said.

"Good" Rachel Said.

Mr. Cooper Enters The Living Room Area "Good Morning Rachel" He Said Cheerfully.

"Good Morning" Rachel Said.

"Kyle And Tom Need Their Haircuts, Take Them To The Mall Which Is Not Too Far From Here.. They Usually Ask For BuzzCuts" Mr. Cooper Said.

"Okay... When Do You Plan To Be Back?" Rachel Inquired.

"The Plan Is To Be Back Here By 6PM, But It Could Be A Little Past So Do Not Be Too Concerned If We Do Not Arrive Until 6:20" Mr. Cooper Said.

"Okay" Rachel Replied.

"The Boys Know..You Are The Boss And No Arguing..They Have Not Been In Trouble At School.For Awhile So If They Are Naughty, You Pick The Punishment And Do Not Be Too HARD On Them"

Mr.Cooper Said.

"Okay...Sounds Good" Rachel Replied.

The Boys Enter The Living Room

"Hi Rachel" Kyle Said.

"Hi There" Rachel Said.

Tom Waves His Hand At Rachel (being a little shy)

"Okay Boys We Are Leaving, Rachel is The Boss, We Will See You This Evening Probably about 6:30, Do Give Rachel Any Trouble" Carol Said.

Both Boys Knodded As Their Parents Went Out The Front Door.

Kyle is 11 and Tom Is 9.

"Okay Boys I Have Orders To Take You Both To The Barbershop" Rachel Said.

"I Thought Mom Was Taking Us There Next Week" Kyle Said.

"Your Father Said For Me To Take You There This Morning..Lets Go" Rachel Said.

So The Boys Followed Rachel Out The Door And Kyle Pushed The Button On The Door To Lock It.

The Boys Stepped In The Back Of Rachel's 4 Door Car And Rachel Turned The Ignition Key And Drove Off.

Rachel Found The Mall 5 Minutes Later, And Found The Barbershop And Parked Her Car And Locked It.

Rachel Opened The Door To The Barbershop And The Boys Walked In And Sat Down At The Waiting Area. Rachel Sat With Them.

The Barbershop Had been Open 30 Minutes and Had 2 Men Sitting At Each Barber Chair Having Their Haircut.

One Barber Had Finished a Customer And The Customer Had Went Out The Door After Paying.

The Female Barber Had Looked Rachel And The Two Boys And Said.

"I Will Take Your Big Brother First And Then The Two Of You"

Rachel Thought "This Woman Thinks I Am a Boy"

"Excuse Me But I Am a Female" Rachel Replied.

"Oh C'Mon..You look Like A Boy To Me. Come And Have A Seat" The Female Barber Which Wore a Name Tag Her name was Angela.

Rachel Went Forward And Stepped On To The Chair, Trying To Think Of A Way To Escape.

"I Do Need A Trim But Not Today" Rachel Thought.

Angela Had Placed The Cape Around Rachels Neck And Said "You Have Some Uneven Hair Back Here, I Will Trim It off"

"Okay" Rachel Said.

Kyle The Oldest of The Cooper Boys Noticed That Rachel Had a Concerned Look On Her Face.

Angela Had Begin using Scissors And Kyle Stood Up From His Chair After seeing Rachel Concerned About What Was Going To Occur By The Look On Her Face And Kyle Had Enough.

"Stop" Kyle Said.

Angela say's "What Is The Matter"

"She Is Looking After Me And My Brother Today" Kyle Said.

Angela's Mouth Drops Open And She Looks at Kyle.

"Oh My Goodness..Are You Kidding?" Angela Says.

"No, Ma'am" Kyle Said.

"Oh No" Angela says. She Takes The Cape Off Rachel And Rachel Steps Out Of The Chair.

Rachel Goes To Her Purse And Grabs Her Drivers Licence And Shows It To The Barber.

Angela Looks Embarrased.

"I Am So Sorry, I Hope You Will Not Go Seek An Attorney And File a Lawsuit..You Looked Like A Boy For Some Reason" Angela Said.

"It is Okay We All Make Boo-boo's, As Some People Tell Me" Rachel Says.

The Other Barber Who is a Male Who Was Currently Doing a Customer, Put His Hand Over His Mouth Who Could Not Beleive it.

"Okay Kyle Hop To The Chair" Rachel Said.

Kyle Did As He Was Asked And Went To The Chair.

Angela Placed The Cape On Him And Asked "How Would You Like This Styled?"

"Flat Top, Shaved Below The Top And Back" Kyle Replied.

"You Are Going To Like It" Angela Said.

"This Is Going To Be My First Flat Top, My Friend Recommended it" Kyle Said.

"It Is a Popular Haircut With The Older Adult Males" Angela Replied.

"I Decided It Was Worth A Try, What Do You Think" Kyle Inquired.

"I Agree With You" Angela Replied.

Rachel Sat With Tom While The Other Guy Was Finishing The Other Customer.

"I Wonder If I Have The Right Shape For a Flat Top?" Rachel Thought.

The Other Stylist Finished The Customer And Motioned For Tom To Take The Chair.

Tom Stepped Up From The Seat and Went To The Barber Chair.

The Barber Placed the Tissue Around Tom's Neck And Placed The Cape Around Him.

"What Kind Of Haircut Would You Like?" Inquired The Barber Who's Name Tag said Andrew.

"Could I Have It Shaved?" Tom Inquired.

Andrew Smiled "Tell You What, Let Me Take Out The Bulk With An Attachment And See How You Look Buzzed? Andrew Replied.

"Okay" Tom Said. Andrew Placed a Three Fourths Of An Inch Attachment and Begin Clippering Tom's Hair. On The Other Side of The Shop Angela Was Zipping off Kyle's Sides And Back Without an Attachment.

Rachel Sat Amazed How Kyle Was Looking As Angela Was Working On The Top.

"Chad Would Not Talk To Me For A Week If I Asked For A Flat Top" Rachel Thought.

"Okay We Are Finished, What Do YouThink?? Andrew Asked Tom.

"Good, I Will Have You Shave It When My Haircut Is Due, If I Do Not Change My Plan" Tom Replied.

"Okay" Andrew Said.

Angela Was Finishing Kyles Haircut.

Rachel Looked From Her Seat And Kyle Looked Very Nice When He Stepped Out Of The Barber Chair.

Tom Dug Out His Wallet While He Was Standing With Andrew And Paid Him For His Haircut.

"Thank You Very Much" Andrew Replied.

"You Are Welcome" Tom Replied.

"See Ya" Andrew Said.

Kyle Paid Angela For Her Work And Said "Thank You"

"You Are Welcome" Angela Replied.

"I Wonder If I Have Enough Cash To Take These Guys for Games?" Rachel Asked Herself?

Rachel Opened The Door To The Barber Shop And The Boys And Her Walked Out.

Rachel Un-Locked The Car Doors And Stepped In To The Car And Looked In Her Pocket Book And She Seen She Had Some Cash.

"$30 is Plenty To Have Fun on" Rachel Thought.

"Would You Like To go Play a Few Games?" Rachel said.

"Sure" Kyle Said.

Rachel Drove Out Of The Parking Lot And Headed For a Local Arcade.

Rachel Found a Second Mall On The Other Side of Town Where She Knew There Was An Arcade Available And It Was Open.

Rachel Looked in her Pocket Book and Took Out Some $5 Bills.

"Here is $5 For Each Of You" Rachel said.

"Thank you Rachel" Kyle said.

"Sure" Rachel Said.

Rachel Opened The Door Of The Arcade And She Walked Through The Door And The Boys Went And Placed Their Money In To The Token Machine And Placed Their Tokens In Their Pockets And Went To Play a Pin Ball Game.

Rachel Kept An Eye On The Boys As She Was 10 Feet From Them.

She Began Playing a Ski Ball Game and Scored 50 Points After She Rolled The First Ball.

"Wow, Have Not Did This For Awhile" Rachel Thought.

She Scored 300 Points The First Game And 320 The Second Game.

She Went Through $5 Worth Of Tokens Her First 30 Minutes.

She Did Win a Teddy Bear On a Skill Game.

 

She Went Back to The Boys And Said:

"How About We Go to My House For A Short Visit And Then Back To Your Place?"

"Sure" Tom Said.

They Went to Rachels Car and Drove A Few Miles To Her House.

 

Rachels Mother Was There When They Arrived And Had Lunch And Visited With Rachel's Mother And Father For Awhile.

Rachel Looked at The Wall Clock And It Was Close To 3 "Think I Will Take The Boys To Their House" She Said.

Rachel And The Boys Went To Her Car And Drove 10 Minutes To The Boys House and Their Parents Were There.

They Walked Through The Door And Mrs. Cooper Met Them At The Kitchen.

"Did You Have Fun Today?" Their Mother Asked.

"Oh Yeah" Tom Said.

"Lots Of Fun" Kyle Said.

"Good" Their Mother Said.

Mr. Cooper Walks in And Says.

"Thank You Rachel For Taking Care Of The Boys For Us!"

"You Are Welcome" Rachel Said.

The Boys Went To The Back Yard To Do Something.

"Here is Your Pay, Hope It Is Enough" Their Mother Said.

Rachel Counted Her Money.

"Yeah, it is Enough..Thank You" Rachel Said With a Smile.

"Do Not Spend It All At One Place,ha!" Mr Cooper Said.

"I Will Try Not To" Rachel Said Laughing.

"Would You like To Stay For Dinner?" Mrs. Cooper Said.

"Well...Perhaps Some Other Evening..I Should Head For The House" Rachel Said.

"Certainly..You Phone Me One Of The Aftrernoons" Mrs.Cooper Said.

"Enjoy Your Saturday Evening" Rachel Said and Walked Out The Door.

The Next Morning Rachel Went And Had Her Haircut to a Quarter Of An Inch Above Her Shoulders To Correct What The Barber Did.

"Kind of Glad Mom Did Not Notice My Hair" Rachel Thought When She Walked Out Of The Salon.
