 One Friday afternoon Jill was being picked up from school by her Mom and was surprised to see her older sister Jay in the front.

"Jill  I hope you don't mind but Jay has an appointment with Kayla at the salon in about 10 minutes,I hope you won't mind waiting there." Luckily Jill was very calm about schedule changes (you learn that when you're the youngest of three kids). "Sure I don't mind,I'll just do my homework until she's done." Jill replied "Oh thank god,Jill you are a stress stopper!" Her mom said with relief

Jill never saw the salon her mom and sisters went to... until today.  The salon "Beyond The Mirror" was very modern. It had a black and white title floor,black leather seats,but it was mostly white furniture. When Jay was called on,Jill flopped on one of the waiting seats and watched her mother and sister walked to one crazy looking lady. "If that's Kayla,then she must be responsible for all those short styles Jay has had in the year." she thought

Jill wasn't like one of those girls who cared about her looks all of the time,she knew it was important to have good hygiene and a neat and conservative appearance (at least for school) but she never was into the things like makeup,and clothes(unless she needed new ones) and what's in and out,her hair rarely needed trimming and when it did she went to Super cuts. But little did Jill knew that she was in for one big surprise!

While doing her homework,Jill would peek out to see what they were doing.Her Mom was talking to the stylist near Kayla and heard Jill's name a few times. After about 15 minutes her mom came up and said "Jill sweetie Lucy has some free time before her next client,so I asked her to do you while I wait for Jay"  Jill confused, asked "Um Mom,that is very nice of you,but why?" "Well I thought it be a nice change of appearance for you but I know you won't go over ego like your sisters did." Mom replied 

So Jill did what she was told,dropped her notebook which her things and chair was now being occupied by her mom and went over to Lucy's chair.Their was a mix of emotions put on her. Although thrilled to be having the opportunity of having her hair done somewhere modern and chic,was also nervous of what would become of her hair. But Lucy seemed like someone safe,unlike Kayla who had short hair in red,golden yellow,and turquoise,Lucy had shoulder length blonde hair. Hopefully she won't do something that Jill wasn't ready for.

"So what are we doing on her?" Lucy asked looking at Mom "Whatever you want,You're the stylist." Mom repiled  "Don't worry Jill,once you like what's coming to you,you forget about having long hair in the first place." Lucy said to an anxious looking Jill.

As Jill was turned away from the mirror and caped,the more nervous she became, to have to trust a stylist she never meant with something she has had all her life. While all this emotions were around her she didn't know that her hair has been taken out of it's bun,brushed ,put in to a ponytail and chopped until she saw a black ponytail put into her lap. Jill was speechless! "Speechless? I knew you would be." Lucy said as she saw Jill reaction to the chop "Please tell me,will it be short." Jill asked "Oh i don't want to spoil anything but it won't be super short that's for sure." Lucy replied 

Jill was sent to another part of the salon where Lucy washed her hair. The shampoo really calmed her down after that. When back at the chair Lucy started putting Jill's now shoulder length hair into sections.Alas there was nothing for Jill to do but trust Lucy with what her hair would become of.But what really surprised her was that she wasn't that scared after awhile,in fact she was getting excited about her new look.Maybe it was something like a bob or layers.After like 10 minutes Lucy put down the scissors and picked up a brush and hairdryer. it may had seem a shocker to Jill but the final result was stunning! She was given an inverted bob with long layers on both sides and sides bangs. She couldn't believe it! After years of wondering what she looked like with short hair and now she had it.

"Looks like you did a wonderful job Lucy! And Jill seems to agree." Mom said at the sight  "I must admit it does really look good,i would've never done it myself.Thanks a lot" Jill repiled  It has sure been a great deal of change for me today. she thought But at least i don't have what Jay has. Jay had a short pixie with magenta sideburns.

Jill was enjoying the feeling out of her new bob as she walked out of the salon nothing she had never felt like before. Funny how fate works. she thought One minute you have hair halfway down your back,the next a look never imaginable. But I'll see where fate takes next and like it or not face it with hope.
