Christine and Maria were walking home after a normal day of hanging out at the local coffee shop, when they noticed something unexpected. Standing there on the street was a woman who's hair couldn't have been more than a quarter of an inch long."Whoa look at that!" Exclaimed Maria while pointing at the woman.

"Yea I see, how strange," Christine said.

"A little strange, but also really beautiful."

"Now that you mention it, she does look great."

"Not to mention confident," said Maria with a hint of admiration in her voice. "I wonder what it would be like to have hair that short."

"Well I guess there's only one way to find out, but I'm rather happy with my hair the way it is right now," said Christine. Christine's shoulder length hair had been blonde naturally up until a few days ago when she dyed her hair black. Maria's hair had always been mid back length with large curls. Christine had always been the more adventourous one with her hair.

"I will if you will," said Maria with a smile.

"Oh sure," Christine laughed, "if you cut off all your hair first, I'll do it right after."

"I'm serious," said Maria in her best pouty tone of voice as she crossed her arms.

"Fine, I will if you will." said Christine not even giving a thought as to what she was saying. The topic was not brought up again during the entire walk back to Maria's house. When they got back Maria quickly rushed upstairs and Christine followed shortly after. When Christine made it up the stairs she found her best friend in the bathroom tearing through the cupboards. "What are you looking for?" Cristine asked.

"My brothers clippers, ah, here they are," said Maria as she held up the clippers.

"Why would you need those?"

"I'm going to cut my hair silly," Maria said as she plugged in the clippers.

"Are you crazy! Do you even know how to use them, do you even know what those are going to do to your hair?"

"Yea, I've seen my brother use them before, and your next." Maria took off the plastic gaurd and replaced it with a smaller one, then she turned on the clippers. There was a buzzing sound filling the room.

"You can't be serious, I'm not going to cut my hair," Christine said nervously.

"You said you would do it if I did, remember?" Maria said hold the buzzing clippers in her hand.

"Yea but I didn't know you were serious, your just being crazy now. You'll look silly and weird with your hair that short. Besides why would you want to cut of all of your beautiful curls, you've had your like that for as long as I can remember." Christine said rationally.

"You saw the woman on the street, there was nothing silly or even a little weird about her. She was beautiful and you know it. There something so confident and sexy about her, I want to look and feel that way too. I've looked the same forever now and I need to change something. I look so boring with my hair the same way, I want this so bad!" As Maria shouted this she turned her face to look into the mirror and raised the clippers up to her forehead.

"Wait! Just think about this for a...!" Christine stopped and gasped as Maria drove the clippers down the center of her head. Maria flicked the clippers up as she reached the end of the path down the center of her scalp. Christine's eyes got wide as Maria smiled and continued to clip away at her hair. The cut hair would rain down all around Maria as she plowed the clippers all around her head. "I can't believe your cutting your hair that short, I can see your scalp a little." said Christine.

"Believe it, because it is happening. So far I like it, I can not wait until it is finished. You are so going next." Maria responded.

"No way! I happen to like my hair the way it is."

"Oh come on, don't be such scaredy cat," Maria said with a smirk. The clippers kept growling as more dark curls fell to the floor. Maria kept a wide smile on her face as she cut through the hair behind her right ear. She lifted up the hair at the back of her head and tried to clipper her neck, but she was having little luck buzzing her neck that way. "I need you to help me."

"I don't think so," said Chistine while shaking her head.

"Oh come on, I can't get to the back very well, could you cut it for me?"

"I don't even know how to use those."

"It's very easy, please, for me?" Maria said whlie giving her best impression of puppy dog eyes.

"Fine, I can't leave you with a mullet." Christine giggled as she grabbed the clippers from Maria. She lifted the hair up at the back of Maria's head and drove the clippers up from Maria's neck to the top of her head.

"Ooooh wow." Maria cooed with her eyes closed.

"Does it feel good?" asked Christine.

"Oh yes you'll have to feel this for yourself" said Maria. Christine only laughed nervously in response. Christine looked down and only saw a carpet of dark brown curls that had only minutes ago been on her best friends head.

"There, done." Christine said with the last of Maria's long hair falling to the floor.

"Some parts are a little uneven, could you even it up for me please?" Christine sighed and continued with a quick once over on Maria's head with the clippers. After the clippers shut off Maria's hands shot straight up to her head. "Whoa," Maria's eyes got wide "that feels so great, My hair feels like velvet" Maria squeeled. "So, do I look as good as the lady on the street?" Maria questioned while continuing to rub her head.

"Better," said Christine.

"I think so too. I love it sooo much. I Iook so amazing, much better than I thought. You know you don't have to cut yours right?" Maria said.

"I can't believe i'm saying this but, I want to."

"Really? What made you change your mind?"

"Well, you really do look great and a deal is a deal, so I'll do it"

"Are you sure, because it's fine with me if you don't."

"No, let's do it. I want to be different as well, and hurry before I change my mind."

"Alright, so like mine or longer?"

"Smooth," said Christine with confidence.

"What? Are you crazy!" shouted Maria.

"Says the girl who just gave herself a buzzcut."

"Yea, but I still have hair on my head. You won't if you go through with this."

"I know but if I'm going so short right now, I might as well go all the way once. Who knows, it might even be better than yours. Besides I can't let you one up me." Christine said with a coy smile.

"Well I guess if you've made up your mind, let me do it though."

"Sure go right ahead," Christine said as she stood in front of the mirror.

"I'll be right back," said Maria as she left the room. Christine just looked in the mirror and felt her hair for the last time. "Here sit down, it will be easier." Maria set a chair down in front of the mirror. Christine sat down in the chair and Maria took the plastic guard off the clippers. She started the clippers and said "last chance, are you sure?" Christine only nodded and Maria brought the clippers to Christine's forehead. She pulled the clippers back and left a bare spot in the middle of Christine's scalp. Christine saw this and could only laugh nervously, she was getting her head shaved by her best friend.

"Wow, you actually can see my scalp, how wild. Who would have thought that days after I dyed my hair, I would be shaving it off," said Christine.

"You'll look wonderful," Maria said as she continued shaving her friends hair off.

"I hope or I'll have to invest in a lot of hats," Christine giggled. The clippers continued on the right side of her head shearing the hair away. Piles of hair were gathering on Christine's lap and shoulders. The only sound that could be heard were the buzzing of the clippers, and the hair being cut as Maria began cutting away at Christine's hair at the left side of her head. "Everyone is going to freak out when they see us," said Christine.

"I know but who cares, we are going to look so hot," Maria replied with a mishchevous grin. Christine felt the vibrating shears run up her neck and couldn't help but moan a little. "I told you it felt good."

"And you were so right about it, who would have guessed. Maybe thats one of the reasons the woman on the street has her hair that short," said Christine.

"I bet your right. Almost done just need to even things up," said Maria as she took off the rest of Christines hair. "Wow you are looking so great," said Maria as she turned off the clippers.

"Yea I never thought i'd say it but, it looks really good," Christine said as she lifted her hand up and felt her newly shorn head. "Hmm, wish it was smoother than this."

"One sec," Maria said as she rummaged through a cupboard. "Aha! here it is," exclaimed Maria as she held up the objects in her hands.She set down a razor and sprayed white shaving foam on to her hand. "Just what we needed, your head will be nice and smooth after this." She rubbed the shaving foam all over Christines head.

"Are you sure you can shave my head without cutting it?" asked Christine cautiously.

"Can't be that much different than shaving my legs."

"Alright I guess I trust you'" Christine said as she sighed. Maria grabbed the razor and began at Christine's forehead taking short careful strokes. After the razor had done its job all that was left was smooth skin. " Now that is going to be different. There really is nothing left."

"It's not that much shorter, and besides you said you wanted it smooth."

"Your right. it will just take some getting used to," said Christine. After a few more minutes of nothing but the sounds of the razor scraping away, Christines head was finally smooth. She took a towel and wiped her head off and looked in the mirror. Her eyes got wide at the sight of her smooth head, it was beautiful. "This is so great, I can't believe it. I love it!" shouted Christine as she rubbed her head.

"Yea you look wonderful," Maria said.

"Oh, you have got to try this. The smooth skin feels amazing and the way it looks is so great," Christine said.

"Maybe some other time, i'm enjoying this buzz cut right now," said Maria while she rubbed her head. "Now lets get going, I think we need a night out on the town to show ourselves off."
